We are truly privileged to bring you the world’s most sought after coffee, Panama Gesha. This varietal breaks world coffee price records every year and we’re delighted to be the first roaster to bring it to Ireland. We have bought this coffee by direct trade from our friend and coffee farmer Pedro Moss who visited our roastery earlier in the year. Pedro is the owner of Panamanian collective “La Huella” which processes coffees from several small neighbouring farmers.
This Gesha is nano lot N97 from Canas Verdes. We appreciate that it’s is expensive but there are many factors behind this. The Gesha tree takes about 5 years to produce worthy fruit and then yields only 450 to 500 grams of green beans per tree. It will end up in your cup at €3.33 per brew if you purchase 90g or €4 per brew if you purchase 60g, using a standard recipe of 60 grams of coffee to one litre of water.
Each bag of this coffee will be roasted individually, therefore, we will be roasting only 10 bags per week which will be posted the week following your order. As with many naturally processed coffees, we have found this is best enjoyed 10 days after roasting and no later than 8 weeks.
